Yin Yoga

Yin yoga targets the deep connective tissues of the body such as fascia, ligaments, joints and bones through long held poses between 3-5 minutes.  It incorporates Chinese Medicine and acupuncture theories focusing on the Meridian networks and encouraging energy flow (Qi) through the body.  Applying stress to the connective tissue increases blood circulation in the joints resulting in greater mobility and flexibility.  This class has a meditative approach to create inner silence with soft music, a heated room and breath work to slow down the nervous system.

*This class has best results done with a cold body - please don't mistake this as a stretch class for tight muscles and should not be done straight after a workout.
